Make: gestures, simplicity, motion, scale (big!), discovery. Basically, 5 most important things to keep up to date with the trends. Really like this new design era. The most exciting things - designers started using more solid colors instead of gradients (finally!). I think the pioneers of this was new Microsoft win8 designs for Metro. Worth watching they thoughts about their UI design.
